The 6th Installment In The Iconic New Balance 990 Series Is Getting A Black Makeover!
The New Balance 990 was widely regarded as the pinnacle performance sneaker of the era when it was originally released back in 1982. Fast forward to today and New Balance is set to expand the 990s rich legacy with the release of the “Black” coloray of the V6 in April 2023.
Materials, Colorway, & Design!
Featuring a myriad of design cues borrowed from the past two versions, this latest iteration will be adorned in an all-grey upper comprised of a mix of materials that include:

In traditional 990 fashion, the grey mesh base of this V6 iteration is contrasted by dark grey textile overlays, which are also overlayed by lighter grey suede panels that wrap around the lower parts of the shoe. A larger than usual “N” logo graces the lateral and medial sides of the shoe and is outlined in white. Moving down to the midsole, the front portion is white, while the heel comes in a two-tone grey makeup.
